๐Ÿ”‡ Work in Silence, Let Your Results Speak ๐Ÿ”Š

When I first started working as an Intensive Care Nurse in a private hospital in Enugu State, Nigeria, our ward matron called me into her office one day. She looked at me and said:

โ€œDee Jamisi (Bro James), if you want to succeed here, do these three things: open your eyes ๐Ÿ‘€, open your ears ๐Ÿ‘‚, and close your mouth ๐Ÿค.โ€

That was all. She told me to go. I didnโ€™t fully understand why at the time, but one thing was clear: my Chi (spiritual guide) wanted me to succeed.

Today, Iโ€™m sharing that same advice with you.

๐ŸŽฏ Keep Your Goals Private

Let your goals and intentions remain private until you accomplish them. The Bible reminds us to be quick to listen and slow to speak (James 1:19).

If you can control your tongue, you’ve already solved 80% of your problems.

๐Ÿคซ What It Means to Work in Silence

Working in silence doesnโ€™t mean cutting everyone off. It means:

  • Sharing your vision only with those involved in your mission
  • Practicing delayed gratification
  • Allowing your results to speak for you ๐Ÿ”ฅ

People donโ€™t envy what they donโ€™t know. Yet, many of us treat social media like a personal journal, forgetting itโ€™s like an open market โ€” both the wise and foolish are present.

The fish that closes its mouth avoids the hook ๐ŸŽฃ.

๐Ÿบ In a World of Smiling Wolves…

Stay alert. Keep your eyes ๐Ÿ‘€ and ears ๐Ÿ‘‚ open, and your mouth ๐Ÿค closed.

A wise person speaks when there’s something valuable to say.
A fool speaks just for the sake of speaking.

When you announce your dreams too early, you invite criticism โ€” even from the wrong people.

Why seek advice about your relationship from strangers online? Does that mean you have no home or family? Be wise.

๐Ÿ’” Not Everyone Cares

When you share your problems:

  • 80% of people are just glad itโ€™s not them
  • Only about 10% genuinely care

So be selective. Be intentional.

๐Ÿง  Words Are Spells

Do not gossip. Do not slander people you barely know.

Words are powerful. Once they are out, they canโ€™t be taken back. Thatโ€™s why the Scriptures say:

โ€œLet the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord.โ€ โ€” Psalm 19:14

๐Ÿงฉ Choose Your Company Wisely

Not everyone who shows interest is a true companion.

  • Colleagues are not automatically friends
  • At work, focus on work
  • Keep your family life private

A fool among five wise people will be seen as the sixth wise person.
A wise man among five fools will become the sixth fool.

Choose your circle with care.

๐Ÿ” Final Thoughts

Open your eyes ๐Ÿ‘€. Open your ears ๐Ÿ‘‚.
Close your mouth ๐Ÿค.

Speak only when it is necessary, and let your results do the talking.

Stay wise, stay focused.
