A Wake-Up Call to Our Generation
Today, I watched a short clip that broke my heart β young boys, barely 15 and above, queuing by a river to lay down sacrifices in pursuit of financial wealth. Yes, in the 21st century. ππΈ
I was stunned. I asked myself: How did we get here?
My mind wandered, and all I could think of was the failure of leadership at every level β from parents to religious leaders to political figures. Society has failed us, or maybe we have failed ourselves.
Chasing Shadows: The Quick Wealth Syndrome
Everyone seems to want to get rich quick and die young. Material wealth β cars, houses, flashy appearances β has become the only measure of success, even at the expense of life itself. ππ β°οΈ
But is this truly wealth?
Is this the legacy we want to leave behind?
Education and Religion in Decline ππ
We claim to be enlightened, yet education is dying.
We claim to be religious, yet we are disconnected from both God and ourselves.
We demonize our ancestors in prayer, while embracing the traditions of those who enslaved and colonized us. Thatβs not wisdom β itβs mental confusion. π€―
Ask yourself:
π If you sell your brother, will the buyer ever trust you?
π What kind of people are we becoming?
Time to Reflect: What Are We Building? π οΈ
Itβs high time we sit down and reflect on the kind of country and continent we want to build. We focus more on building places of worship than we do on industries and schools, yet we expect miracles and manna from heaven.
Some even say, βHeaven is my goal.β
But let me ask you β if you canβt manage a one-room apartment here on earth, how can you expect God to entrust you with a mansion in heaven? ποΈβ‘οΈπ°
The Parable of the Talents β Are We Listening?
π The Parable of the Talents teaches us that God rewards those who work, who build, who grow what theyβve been given β not those who bury it in fear or laziness.
Letβs stop making a mockery of ourselves and our faith.
Letβs stop looking for something for nothing. π

You will always reap what you sow. π±β‘οΈπΎ
Enough with the Excuses β
Yes, Africa was colonized. But so were others.
What matters now is: What are we doing about it?
Instead of self-pity and blame, start by evaluating how you treat people around you every day.
β
Work hard
β
Work smart
β
Be realistic
β
Build wealth in character, knowledge, and compassion π§ πΌβ€οΈ
Mental Slavery Must End
Say NO to mental slavery.
Say NO to the illusion of heavenly mansions you didnβt earn.
Say NO to enriching pastors and priests while neglecting your own growth.
Instead:
π Invest in education
π Learn about stocks and entrepreneurship
π Care for the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable π©βπ¦½ππ
The Wise Words of Our Ancestors
Our elders say:
π£οΈ βOkuko nti ike, na anu ihe na ite ofe.β
(The stubborn fowl learns its lesson in the pot of soup.)
If you continue living without intention, waiting for divine rescue, you are wasting your time. β
A lizard can spend ten years in the water β it will never become a crocodile. π¦
The Final Call: Arise!
Dear brothers and sisters,
Let your wealth extend beyond money β let it touch your mind, your talents, your impact on others.
Enough complaining.
Start healing.
Start rebuilding.
Our destiny is in our hands. No one is coming to save us but us. πͺπΎπ
So I say again, with urgency and love:
Arise oh my people! π
